Eurogroup: An association created to advocate for condominium owners

Co-owners of properties under the “Madame Vacances” brand will be able to band together and defend their interests with the law firm Goethe Avocats.

This is an important step for all co-owners facing difficulties with companies in the Eurogroup, which operate vacation residences under the “Madame Vacances” brand. The Association of Co-owners of “Madame Vacances” Brand Resorts, known as the C.M.V. Association, was formed and registered with the prefecture last month.

Created by a group of investors, it will allow them to come together to exchange information about the resorts and, if necessary, take legal action.

In fact, since Eurogroup acquired Gestion Patrimoine et Loisirs in 2007, many co-owners have complained of significant difficulties with the operators. These co-owners invested in these resorts for their retirement and, in some cases, to take advantage of tax benefits (tax exemptions, etc.).

“The Need to Band Together”

Appointed in November 2018, the law firm Goethe Avocats has already filed several lawsuits against companies within the group, and nearly 70 co-owners have already entrusted the firm with defending their interests in five different residences in the Vendée (85): Les Mas de Saint-Hilaire, Green Marine, Green Village, the Domaine de Fontenelles in L’Aiguillon-sur-Vie, and the Domaine de Vertmarines in Saint-Jean-de-Monts.

Some of the co-owners have clearly already realized the need to band together.
